Dog Show
Warkworth Dog Training Club
Demonstrations and public involvement
Dog rest area: Between the skateboard ramp and the road we will set up some shade and water for any dogs attending the festival. This will have members in attendance all day to answer any questions about dogs or club activities. This is not a dog sitting service.
Demonstrations: at 9.30, 10.30 and 11.30am (20 minutes each) about agility and flygility; may be a scent demonstration or obedience (depending on available dogs).
At the end of each demonstration we will have short competition for children (10 years and under) to copy the dogs and do a short flygility run with them jumping over a few low jumps, through a tunnel and weave around some items to retrieve a ball. Small prizes for the entrants.
The Warkworth and Districts Dog Training Club has been providing affordable dog training advice to local pet owners as well as competitors in Obedience, Rally-O, Flygility, and Agility for 20 years. We are a incorporated society which relies on volunteers to provide this low-cost service to the community.
